At the request of the County Executive, Bill 09-36 regarding Prologis Park, also known as the Incinerator Bill, was pulled from the Harford County Council public hearing and decision meeting on Monday night.
Most of the Edgewood residents who attended the meeting in opposition to the proposal, which would put waste incinerator next to a community recreation field, didn’t learn about the agenda change until a few minutes before the session started.
Stay tuned for more details.

THANK YOU DAVID CRAIG! As a resident of Edgewood, I appreciate your thoughtful consideration of our concerns. There are some in our community that sought to politicize this issue for their own gain (Dion Guthrie, Dan Riley, Mary-Dulany James and Mary Ann Lisanti — SHAME ON YOU). If those politicians would focus on our needs consistently instead of only when an election is upcoming, they would know that we need high-paying jobs in the area to increase our property values and foster a climate of home ownership. I am proud of our efforts to clean up Edgewood and make it a better place to live.

Bart, are you aware that if it wasn’t for those you named this bill would have passed in the dead of the night. While I didn’t vote for Guthrie I appreciate him bringing it to light. Now if rest of the harford county council would concentrate on the crime that is rampant in Edgewood, that would go a long way to invite higher earning families to move to this suburb. Unfortunately they would rather put fancy window dressing on the windows hoping that people will be suckered in by the “re-vitalization” on Rte 40 and pay no attention to what goes on 1/4 mile from those nice looking storefronts.
