(Harford County, MD – May 23, 2009) -Harford County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested Gabriel Christopher Dell, 18, of Parkville, MD in connection with a burglary and theft which occurred January 22, 2009.
On January 22, 2009 deputies were called to the 900 block of Garland Court, Bel Air, MD, in reference to a reported burglary and theft. Stolen during the burglary were a 27″ Insignia High Definition LCD television, an X-Box 360 gaming system, and a Dell Inspiron laptop computer, all having a combined value of over $1,500.00.
Computrace LoJack for Computers, a computer software based security program, was installed on the Dell laptop computer prior to it being stolen.
In March of 2009, detectives were contacted by a Computrace Theft Recovery Officer who indicated the stolen laptop had been utilized to access the internet from February 14, 2009 to March 5, 2009. The IP (Internet Protocol) addresses were traced to three locations; one in the 800 block of Karen Drive in Kingsville, MD, one in the 2700 block of Beechwood Lane in Fallston, MD, and one in the 9000 block of Washington Street, Savage, MD.
After several more weeks of gathering evidence, detectives located components of the Dell computer and the X-BOX 360 game at a residence in the 8400 block of Arbor Station Way, Parkville, MD.
While at this residence detectives interviewed Gabriel Christopher Dell who admitted to stealing the property and committing the burglary. All of the stolen property was eventually recovered.
Dell turned himself in at the Detention Center at 7:50 a.m. May 20, 2009 and was released the same day after posting a $12,500 bond.
