(Bel Air, MD – March 23, 2009) – – On Thursday, March 26 at 7:00 pm, join the Harford County Department of Community Services’ Office of Drug Control Policy, FACE-IT, and the Patterson Mill High School PTA for a special presentation open to the community. The Town Hall Meeting concerning youth and underage drinking will be held at Patterson Mill High School, located at 85 Patterson Mill Road, Bel Air, Maryland 21015.
The upcoming prom and graduation season is one of school pride, celebrating accomplishments, and high expectations for the future. However, it is also a time of high risk for our youth. Alcohol use is something that can easily destroy the dreams and hopes of our children.
Knowing this, a special presentation on the dangers of underage drinking is being presented; an incident involving a local family will also be shared with participants to increase awareness of the effects of alcohol on individuals, families and the community.
This is a community event for all ages; parents are encouraged to bring their children. The purpose of the event is to inform the community at-large of the dangers of underage drinking and that children can help spread the word and continue to live their lives to the fullest.
