“Taste of Harford” presents $7,500 to Fisher House
Silver Springs, MD (March 3, 2009)—On the grounds of Walter Reed Army Medical Center, McDonald’s LPGA Championship Executive Director, Alice Miller, and Harford County Director of Economic Development, James Richardson, representing the tournament’s Taste of Harford event, presented Fisher House Foundation, Inc. with a check for $7,500.
“Fisher House is the embodiment of Ronald McDonald House Charities and the McDonald’s LPGA Championship mission statement—giving back to a community in need. Like the Ronald McDonald House, Fisher House is a remarkable support program keeping families together during a most difficult recovery period, and we are honored and humbled to make this donation today , ” said Alice Miller.
Jim Richardson added, “Harford County holds our military in the highest esteem—putting themselves in harms way to defend and protect all of us. This donation is a way for us to say thank you to these brave men and women and their families for all they have given and endured.”
