(Bel Air, MD – March 18, 2009) – – The Harford County Department of Planning and Zoning, in conjunction with the Planning Advisory Board, will be conducting meetings to provide an opportunity for the public to comment on rezoning applications received as part of the 2008/2009 Comprehensive Zoning Review. Signs have already been posted on properties that have applied for rezoning.
The meeting schedule is April 1 at North Harford High School, April 20 at C. Milton Wright High School, April 21 at Aberdeen High School and April 22 at Joppatowne High School. All meetings will be held in the auditoriums of each school.
Department of Planning and Zoning staff will be available from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to answer questions about proposed zoning changes. Public comments will be taken from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Speakers will be required to sign up prior to 7:00 p.m. and will be limited to three minutes each.
Those who cannot attend one of the sessions, can still share comments by logging on to the County website at www.harfordcountymd.gov/PlanningZoning/ComprehensiveZoningReview/.
The deadline to submit comments is April 24. Written comments can be sent to the Harford County Department of Planning and Zoning at 220 South Main Street in Bel Air. Please reference the issue number when commenting in either format.
