(Aberdeen, Maryland) March 12, 2009- Aberdeen Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who assaulted a 12-year-old female who was on her way to school this morning.
The assault took place in the area of Ridgon and Brannon Roads at about 7:30 this morning as the girl walked to her bus stop.
The suspect, a white male, with a blonde beard, heavy build in his early twenties approached the girl from behind and inappropriately touched her. He then fled the area. The victim returned home, told her parents who contacted the police. The girl was not injured during the assault.
Police remind everyone to be observant of their surroundings, children to walk in groups and report any suspicious activity to parent or police.
Any one with information concerning this case is asked to call Detective Dave Swain of the Aberdeen Police Department at 410-272-2121.

A question….
Why wasnt there at least 1 parent at the bus stop? Between the 5-10 kids normally at any given bus stop you would think at least 1 parent would care enough to be there. I sure as heck am not letting my kid just wait outside by themselves until they are in high school just for this reason.

That is and interesting question. we transport a little 6 year old girl to & from school. we do not leave the premise’s, until we are certain she is under school authority. a predator is and opurtunist.
I have managed to convict. three child molester’s in my life time. and am alway’s on the alert to catch some more. I only wish the court’s would strengthen the law’s to 99 years. when there convicted.
