Arod used steroids between 2001 and 2003? Really? No way! Who’s next? Will Brady Anderson finally admit it?
And this is my favorite part about this A-fraud story. Check out the quote from the owner of the Rangers, Tom Hicks:
“I feel personally betrayed. I feel deceived by Alex,” Hicks said in a conference call, according to The Associated Press. “He assured me that he had far too much respect for his own body to ever do that to himself. … I certainly don’t believe that if he’s now admitting that he started using when he came to the Texas Rangers, why should I believe that it didn’t start before he came to the Texas Rangers?”
Betrayed? How much money did ARod and his steroid-laden performance make you over those years? If ARod hadn’t taken steroids and put up lesser numbers, would you have made as much in ticket sales, concessions and other profit earners?
What are your thoughts on what this does to the image of our national pastime? Is it already ruined in your eyes?
