UPDATE: Did you listen in? Tell us what you thought about Cindy and Mark’s appearance on The Ed Norris Show!
Back by popular demand, The Dagger will venture into the WHFS 105.7 FreeFM studios Friday, April 18 for its second appearance on the Ed Norris Show.
This time around, exactly three months from our last appearance on the the Ed Norris Show, it will be Cindy and Mark representing The Dagger as part of the panel for the popular Friday news Roundtable discussion.
The Roundtable segment, which features former Baltimore City top cop, Maryland State Police Commissioner and convicted felon Ed Norris and super-producer Maynard rehashing the hottest stories of the week with Cindy and Mark of The Dagger, will air from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the show’s new afternoon drive-time radio slot.
Once again, we’ve got to thank Ed, Maynard and Dominick for setting this up and considering The Dagger when looking for a local voice to discuss news and opinion.
So tune in your radios Friday morning if you get the chance, listen live on your computer through the WHFS live Internet feed or and PLEASE CALL IN at (410) 481-1057 and show some love again for The Dagger!
ps – There are a couple more radio appearances in the works for The Dagger this spring, so stay tuned.

These cats, Norris and Maynard, are at the Green Turtle tonight in Bel Air.
I’ve got to go see if Maynard is REALLY that handsome.
Dell says
Molly- did Maynard “measure up?”
Brian says
Somebody better find Vietnam Vet and tie him down, he’s probably out hunting “Noodlehead” Mark down right now.
Yeah, in case you missed it, Mark said, and I’m paraphrasing here, “All war veterans are losers.” OK so that’s not quite what he said, but that’s how it was perceived by the zillion or so listeners who called in and are probably putting hits out on him as we speak.
Seriously, I talked to Cindy after the show and it sounded like Mark was hustling double-time to get out of Dodge before an Army of vets came looking for him.
It was great radio though and I, for one, think Mark had a really valid point – people just heard what they wanted to.
Cindy was a voice of reason as well. She held her own with the boys in the studio and came across as the sanest, and most well-prepared one in the room. She had the right answer for everything!

NO brian as a matter of fact I’am ok. it’s just a pity’ people such as this can’t get a feel of what war is all about’when it’s your life on the line. it’s ”there” right to protest because it’s america.
2 years of mandantory draft should be required of every american male. I chose to inlist for four years’ because it seemed like the right thing to do.
the coward’s were heading to canada. and I might add pardoned. a fireing squad would have been my choice.
Who ever does not have the stomach, let him depart. since we do not wish to die in that man’s company.
GOD BLESS AMERICA.

oh yes’ we had our shit bird’s. that attempted shooting them self’s between the toe’s etc. trying to get out of country’
but when they were caught’ there ammo was taken away’ except one round.& and were told when shit hit’s the fan. ( firefight) shoot your self.
if they happen to survive’ they were disgraced.

vet…..
Im with ya……
Truth is that this spehighetti head guy probably never served much less saw combat.
Vet..I remember a stat that there was approx an 11 to 1 ratio of support troops to fighting troops. All equally important as fighting troops are useless without beans, deisel, and ammo…and the beans, deisel, and ammo doesnt get delivered without fighting troops protecting it…..but what do i know….all great guys who serve their country.
Its ok to be critical, at the right time…but be proud and supportive !
RichieC says
PS to vet…
To be clear….Ive never seen combat….thank god in heaven. (and I know you know why I say that)
1 year in a 155 battery , 5 years in various support levels…transportation logistics…bmmc’s…pol tankers…ammo goers…and special weapons…later…general 999 freight in theatre support outa rhein main.. All cold war. No bonouses….no gi bill….slow promotions…just serving and no regrets.
Just so you know.
vietnam vet says
Hey’ richieC with out the bean’s & bullet’s we would be up the creek with out a paddle. ( grunt’s that is) at one time it took 16 support troops’ to maintain one infantry soldier.
god bless those in the artillery” fast mover’s ( jet jockey’s) etc a BIG thank’s is owed to the guy’s in the rear with the gear.
we could not have survived without them. the navy medic is a nother unsung hero rarely spoken of but not forgotten. he became a prized target of the the v.c. & n.v.a. ( north vietnamese troop’s)
the call for medic was rarely heard. the enemy troop’s had learned what medic meant. so we yelled for the ( squid) but even at that his large medical bag was apparent. given strict order’s not to help the wounded ourself’s.
the casualty rate could get very high in a fire fight.
the reason being it take’s and able body from the fight’ when we are attempting to gain superior fire power.but needless to say orders’ were not alway’s obeyed when a man’s life was at stake.

RichieC says
Thats right…..field expediant and interpertation of orders …
My point is a lot of folks comment on what they know less than zero about.
vietnam vet says
richieC there will all way’s be question’s that haunt me. why’ was a platoon of men four squad’s. sent out to destroy a north vietnamese bunker complex knowing the odd’s are against you.
3 platoon’s in reserve who never came to help us. the lieutenant in charge was killed almost immediately. which left us with sargent’s in charge. my self in charge of a squad of 9 men.
the area had been well prepped. bomb’s & napalm. but they were there waiting….there were many battles fought by the 26th marines but this one all way’s return’s the 24 of november 1968. when 6 men returned in the monsoon rain’s to a can of c- ration turkey loaf.

And vet
……I am aware of the pol convoys of your era ..slow moving and under powered…that were lost cause a 50 to 75 tanker convoy had two MP jeeps guarding it….the lack of common sense was astounding to say the least until they made their own expediant gun trucks and harden their vehicles with scrap yard steel….and the truth is…my civilian friends in iraq…have had the same problems…no common sense… they wernt allowed to even defend themselvs….no converted duece and a halfs gun trucks…just a surburban as an escort. When will they learn.
Yet we saw Battalian commanders making the troops in Iraq take the hardening off the vehicles cause she didnt have a MWO “mandatory work order”. Outragous!
I have always found it amazing when there is a stupid issue and find out the lesson was already learned many times over.
What are they thinkng somtimes.
Molly says
Dell,
Maynard measured up. He has some real talent in his band…
Dell says
Being around town here at night, I’ve seen a lot of the local bands come through. They rank right up there talent-wise.
